The summer’s flying by, and CFI’s “Break the Chains” benefit concert is just over a month away!
On Saturday, September 3, CFI will partner with the Irish music sensation, Bluetree, to make a difference for hundreds of suffering believers around the world. “Break the Chains” will not only financially support persecuted Christians in countries like Burma and Pakistan, but will also help raise awareness of the alarming crisis of persecution. Christian radio station Smile FM, home of “Michigan’s Positive Hits,” has selected Christian Freedom International as a featured ministry on the station’s “Making a Difference” tour.
As part of the promotion, the station has asked listeners to nominate various non-profit organizations that are making a difference in Michigan. Incredibly, Christian Freedom International was chosen as the ministry that will be featured by the station on August 12, 2011.

Like many other children suffering under the burden of persecution in Burma, young “Percilla” DaGay Moo was one of dozens of orphans who received loving care in CFI’s Mae Sot, Thailand orphanage. In 2008, Percilla and her extended family were finally offered the opportunity to relocate in the United States, where they began a new life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

When Michigan resident Will Buehler saw a news story one day about CFI’s work among persecuted Christians in China, he was instantly impressed by the organization. Will and his wife, Patty, had adopted a young girl from China, and CFI was working in the region of the country where she’d been born. CFI had also just relocated its headquarters to Sault Ste.
