Fear is spreading throughout many regions in Egypt as Christians become the recent victims of numerous kidnappings and attacks by fundamental Muslims.
CFI’s co-worker in the region recently reported that three Christian doctors have been kidnapped in El Minya, and three more doctors have received threats by telephone.
Another report indicates that four Coptic Christians have been kidnapped in the cities of Qena and Nag Hammadi. In Nag Hammadi, the Christians were taken as churchgoers were gathered around the Church of the Archangel Naga Hammadi, after the attackers set fire… Read more

Two Coptic Christian families have been murdered by Islamists in the village of Sharona, Egypt, near the Maghagha, Minya province, according to a report from the Assyrian International News Agency.
On January 30, the families were in their homes with the doors locked when members of two Islamic groups broke into their houses through the roofs. The attackers killed eleven Christians, including several young children, and wounded four before looting the houses of money and furniture, as well as livestock and grain. A report published by Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) has revealed documented evidence of extreme human rights abuses against the Chin population in Burma.
Hundreds of the Chin, an ethnic group which is estimated to be about 90 percent Christian, participated in an anonymous survey regarding the Burmese government’s ethnic cleansing campaign, where soldiers are known to use abduction, torture, rape, conscription, and forced labor to control or harm residents of the Chin state in western Burma. Christians and humanitarian advocates around the world have risen up in protest of the grisly murders that took place at Our Lady of Salvation Church in Baghdad, Iraq on October 31.
Islamic gunmen, who took captive over 100 congregation members, invaded the church during the Sunday service. By the time Iraqi security forces ended the siege five hours later, 70 hostages and policemen had lost their lives in the violence.
